Spencer's First Date. . . Oooooooo!

Ever since Spencer became interested in girls as more than just a target of teasing, we've told him to wait until 16 before he starts dating.  Somehow in our minds the ripe old age of 16 seemed like a good idea.  That is, until he turned 16 and all of a sudden a whole new world opened up for him and for us and we wanted to increase that age to 32.  It has to happen some time I guess.  So, word got around that he was available, and a very nice girl asked Spencer to the Winter Formal.

She left this message on our porch with a bag of flour. No name.
So, we figured we had to sift through the flour to find the name.

Upon sifting the flour a second time, with a fine sieve, another knock came to the door with
this sign. . .

A real flower and her name. Ella.

So, with the flower she left (oops, wrong flour), Spencer made rolls and delivered them to her house with a sign that said, "I'd love to roll with you to the dance."  Awwwww! Actually we didn't use the same flour, because that had been sifted through with hands.

Spencer's report was that they had a delicious dinner, with a fun night of watching Christmas Vacation and making gingerbread houses.

A cute couple for sure.
But where did the time go!
