Our Annual Staycation

Our annual staycation to Eden, Utah was just wonderful, as always.  It's close enough to call a staycation and far enough away to feel like we're away from home.  We love the condo village we stay in every year and look forward to swimming and watching a movie series.

This year we decided to rent kayaks at Pineview Reservoir for the afternoon and enjoyed paddling around for a couple of hours and relaxing in the sand.

This year we decided to watch the Hunger Game series (after all of us had read the books of course, including James who finished all three within two weeks before we watched).  It was a great time to veg and be entertained.  But of course, we always bring books along for other down time.

It is always a tradition to eat at Huntsville BBQ and we are never disappointed.

We kept the uncouth activities to within the condo.

While we were looking for a new good place to eat we found a restaurant that sold Huckleberry Soda, which is a favorite of the boys, courtesy of Maple Dell Scout Camp.  So we just HAD to eat there.  Plus we were hungry and a little desperate.  Again, we were not disappointed.

We came away relaxed and not sick of each other after being together for three days!
