D.J.'s much anticipated 12th birthday was a fun-filled, loud celebration of life and craziness! D.J. has been reading the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, so he requested a Two Towers cake.
Spencer decided to give D.J. some of his best Magic the Gathering cards and made sure D.J. knew the treasure he was about to open.
We have reached the stage in life where cool t-shirts are much appreciated instead of being cast aside in order to get to other presents.
D.J.'s fondest birthday wish was a banana chair. . . no matter how you sit it in.
A surprise birthday gift was Lego Mindstorms - electronic legos!
This was a happy surprise!
2014 is the year of friend birthday parties. The cool birthday party consists of pizza, soda, junk food, a movie and "screwing around," according to D.J. I had fun making the refreshments with a Lord of the Rings theme.
D.J. and his good friends Brandon, Tanner and Brock, along with Spencer and D.J. had quite a lot of fun together all culminating in a burping contest.
D.J. got a box of really interesting rocks from Granna and he went through each one with his friends. He was also pretty excited to get 20 gold dollars from Granna (well 19 at the time, but the 20th was found later).
Oddly enough, he didn't want to watch The Lord of the Rings with his friends, but opted to watch Jurassic Park, the dinosaur thriller. James's legs, Tanner, Peter (he joined us right before the movie), Spencer, Brock, Mom and D.J.
